【Meiruier Filter】The structure of diesel filter and misunderstanding of maintenance

1.  The structure of the diesel filter

At present homemade diesel engine mainly use simple structure, small volume, small quality, good filtration efficiency and low cost paper made diesel filter. Paper made filter is mainly made up of aluminum filter, housing which is punched from steel and paper element.

Oil inlet on the filter cap is connected with the fuel delivery pump, oil-out is connected through the fuel injection pump, oil return pipe joint is connected with the oil atomizer pipeline and there is air bleed plug on the cap. Inside the paper made element assembly is a casket that is punched many small holes, outside is the paper that is folded specially and both ends using glue to seal. When the diesel enters to filter and flow through element and then come together in the element casket, through the oil out and then to the fuel injection pump. The impurities and moisture that is accumulated in the housing will be let out from the drain plug

2.  The problems that can be easily neglected in the maintenance of the diesel filter

1. When maintaining diesel filters, some users lose the sealing gasket of  the upper and down of the element and oil cover, which makes the diesel not flow through the element but through the gap between the element and filter cap and then flow to the element lumen, which make the diesel filter lose the function of purification
2. Some users place the filter pallet and spring upside down and even throw them, which makes the in and out of the oil hole in an open state, resulting in the diesel comes to the fuel injection pump without filtration,
3. When maintaining the diesel filters, some users takes apart the filters and find the inside and element clean without any impurities and moisture, then they think the diesel is very clean. In fact, this is false appearance, because paper element material is loose, micropore big, in this condition, the element has no filtration function. In usage, if the three precise parts were damaged seriously, it is probably caused by the bad quality element.
