1. Before the 1980s, most of the oil filters used in engines were replaceable. The filter with this structure puts the filter element and other parts, such as springs, sealing rings, etc., into a metal shell, and connects and fixes the shell filter element with a metal filter seat through a pull rod. Its advantage is the low cost of use, and it only needs regular maintenance and replacement of the filter element. The disadvantage is that there are too many sealing points, maintenance and replacement of the filter element may miss the installation of parts, which is easy to cause loopholes, and replacement is troublesome;
2. The automobile oil filter is located in the engine lubrication system. Its upstream is the oil pump, and downstream is the parts that need to be lubricated in the engine. According to the structure, the oil filter can be divided into replaceable, spin-on, and centrifugal; according to the arrangement in the system, it can be divided into full-flow and split-flow;
3. The role of the automobile oil filter is to filter out harmful impurities in the oil from the oil pan, and supply the crankshaft, connecting rod, camshaft, supercharger, piston ring and other moving parts to play the role of lubrication, cooling, and cleaning, thereby prolonging the life of these parts. If you choose a low-quality oil filter, the impurities in the oil will enter the engine compartment, which will eventually lead to serious engine wear and need to be returned to the factory for overhaul.
