The air filter is a very inconspicuous component, because it is not directly related to the technical performance of the car, but in the actual use of the car, the air filter has a great influence on the service life of the car. On the one hand, if there is no filtering effect of the air filter, the engine will inhale a large amount of air containing dust and particles, resulting in serious wear of the engine cylinder; On the other hand, if it is not maintained for a long time during use, the filter element of the air filter will be filled with dust in the air, which will not only reduce the filtering capacity, but also hinders the circulation of air, causing the mixture to be too thick and causing the engine to work abnormally. Therefore, it is essential to maintain the air filter on time.

Air filters generally have two types: paper and oil bath. Because paper filters have the advantages of high filtration efficiency, light weight, low cost, and convenient maintenance, they have been widely used. The filtration efficiency of the paper filter element is as high as 99.5% or more, and the filtration efficiency of the oil bath filter is 95-96% under normal conditions. The air filters widely used in cars are paper filters, which are divided into dry and wet types. For the dry filter element, once it is immersed in oil or moisture, the filtration resistance will increase sharply. Therefore, avoid contact with moisture or oil when cleaning, otherwise it must be replaced with a new one.

If the air filter element is severely dirty, it will cause insufficient intake air and increase the acceleration hysteresis. At the same time, the lack of oxygen will cause insufficient combustion of the mixture, insufficient power, and need more fuel supply, which increases fuel consumption. In severe cases, the exhaust gas discharged is dense smoke with peculiar smell.
The role of car air-conditioning filter:
1. Make the air conditioner grid close to the shell to ensure that the unfiltered air will not enter the interior of the car;
2. The activated carbon and other substances inside can adsorb moisture, soot, ozone, peculiar smell, carbon oxides, SO2, CO2, etc., which can adsorb moisture strongly and lastingly;
