The effect of not changing the air filter element for a long time is that the air filter element can block out the dust and road dust entering the engine. These hard particles will cause internal wear of the engine, cause scratches on the surface of the cylinder, adsorb on the surface of closely fitting parts, and cause surface wear of exposed and lubricated parts

The function of the air filter element is to filter the air entering the engine. The air filter is installed in front of the carburetor or intake pipe to filter out dust and sand particles in the air and ensure sufficient and clean air in the cylinder. 

When maintaining the air filter, carefully check the color and contrast of the filter paper on the inner and outer surfaces of the paper filter element. The color of the used filter element is gray-black due to the deposit of dust on the outer surface of the side in contact with the atmosphere; The inner surface of the filter paper facing the air inlet should still show its natural color. If the dust on the outer surface of the filter element is removed and the original color of the filter paper can be revealed, the filter element can continue to be used.

1. Air filter element is a kind of filter, also called air filter cartridge, air filter, style, etc. Mainly used for air filtration in engineering locomotives, automobiles, agricultural locomotives, laboratories, aseptic operation rooms and various precision operation rooms;
2. The engine must suck in a large amount of air during the working process. If the air is not filtered, the dust suspended in the air is sucked into the cylinder, which will accelerate the wear of the piston group and the cylinder;
3. Larger particles entering between the piston and the cylinder will cause serious "cylinder pulling" phenomenon, which is especially serious in a dry and sandy working environment. The air filter is installed in front of the carburetor or the intake pipe to filter out dust and sand particles in the air, ensuring that sufficient and clean air enters the cylinder;

The replacement method of the air filter is as follows:
1. Open the car hood and find the air filter box. Some boxes are fixed with screws, some are fixed with clips, and those with screws need to be opened with a screwdriver;
2. If it is fixed with a clip, just open the clip directly. Take out the old filter element from the box. In order to prevent dust and other debris from falling in, block the air intake duct with a clean towel;
3. The air filter is divided into a filter element and a casing, and the filter element is responsible for gas filtering. Play the role of filtering out dust and sand particles in the air, and ensure that sufficient and clean air enters the cylinder;
4. Replace with a new air filter element, fasten the clip or use a screwdriver to screw on the air filter element box cover. Then put down the hood.
