【Mrefilter】The selection technique of air filter element

In the new car's quality assurance period, you should not use filter (element) substitutes, even after a quality warranty, you have to select filter carefully.

Air filter element have to be carried out bench test , in addition to get into SAE standards performance test, in order to meet requirements of the the engine rated original intake resistance.

Select the air filter cartridge, please be sure to match with the original engine power, economy and reliability.

1. Rated air volume filter technology parameters in the flow, it should be greater than the engine rated intake.

2.The filter material should have requirements for the thickness, anti-tension, the original intake resistance and filtration . Imported diesel engine requires air filtration accuracy of 5μm, domestic diesel engine should be less than 20μm. High efficiency filter paper filteration precision is 2μm, ordinary import filter paper is 30μm, and domestic filter paper is only 80μm.

3. Filter element performance test
A. Flow-Resistance test: test air flow pressure loss.
B. Filter original filteration efficiency test: it can calculate the filter cartridge dust collection efficiency, the normal filter element dust rate should be 99% or more.
C. Storage capacity and cumulative efficiency test: if the filter element accumulate too much dust, it will result in blocking, increase air intake resistance. When the engine power is reduced by 5%, or fuel consumption increased by 5%, the intake resistance reaches a limit, you must clean or replace the filter element. When testing, the intake resistance or pressure drop to 7-46kPa dusting weight, the dust storage capacity of the filter element , and during this test the filter efficiency is the cumulative efficiency.
D. The original intake resistance test: when Intake resistance is 9, the rated air volume through the filter element , the inlet and outlet pressure should not exceed 3.2kPa, otherwise the power will drop, the engine will emit black smoke.
