1, air filter design principle
Air filter should be allowed under the conditions of the structure to minimize the intake resistance. The intake system of resistance depends on many variables, section size, air filter structure, bend these variables including import of gas pipe type, filter material type, the effective filtration area, the only way to accurately determine the resistance of the system is on the basis of experience through the test. 

The installation of air filter, air filter should make any sealing on the surface deformation, should be strong and very firmly fixed on the frame, to ensure that no difficulty in removing air filter paper filter, without dismantling other parts.

2, air filter parts design principles
(1) air cleaner inlet and outlet
The air outlet pipeline using parts must be calculated after full, the first pipeline is deflated shall bear the greatest resistance under the condition of pipeline at each joint should maintain a permanent seal. In particular, the inlet of the filter and the engine between the pipeline, there should be no leakage and small holes, otherwise it will cause a lot of dust into the engine, resulting in engine failure.
The air inlet must be located in the place where the dust is not easy to enter. The exhaust gas from the engine should be avoided. The original air inlet position should be as high as possible to prevent rain and snow from entering the intake system.

(2) air cleaner element
Filter filter is to filter out the larger particles in the air, such as dust, sand, etc., at present there are two kinds of filter paper and sponge material.
The filtration effect and pore diameter of filter paper, air resistance is relatively commonly used to filter sponge, if you want to reduce the air resistance of the whole, can increase the filter area, but poor water resistance, can not be reused, the maintenance period of air resistance linear increase.
Sponge filter effect is poor, if you want to improve the filtering effect, you need to increase the thickness, and the thickness is proportional to the air resistance, so the filter paper is more suitable for the production of air filters. However, the sponge has good water resistance, can be reused, and the maintenance cost is low.

(3) air cleaner housing
For the need of environmental protection, waste gas in the crankcase, gasoline vapor and carburetor oil chamber need to back into the cylinder combustion, therefore should retain the interface on the air cleaner housing.
The interior of the air filter should be designed with drainage holes, and the drain pipe should be installed in the installation position of the filter.
