There are three kinds of fuel filters, they are diesel filter, gasoline filter, natgas filter. The main function is to remove the harmful impurities of engine fuel system, which reduce the engine wearing and blockage.
The working principle of the fuel filter
The fuel filter on the pipeline which is cascaded in the fuel pump and the throttle valve body. The filter is made up of Aluminum housing and Stainless Steel holder. There is high-efficiency filter paper, whose shape is chrysanthemum to increase the flow area. Electronic injection can not be in common use with the carburation filter.
As the electronic injection filter usually bear the pressure of 200-300KPA, so the pressureproof strength requires to be above 500KPA, carburation filter has no requirement.
The categories of fuel filter: Diesel filter, gasoline filter, natgas filter
1.Diesel filter
The structure of diesel filter is almost the same as oil filter, it includes replaceable filter and spin on filter. The working pressure and anit- oil temperature is lower compared to oil filter.
But the requirments of the filtration efficiency is much higher than oil filter. The element of the fuel filter is made from paper, some are made from hair felt or high polymer material
2.Gasoline filter
The gasoline filter includes carburation filter and electronic injection filter. For the carburation engine, the filter is on one side of the entrance of the fuel delivery pump, which the working pressure is low and usually use nylon housing. The working pressure is high and it usually uses metal housing. The element of the gasoline filter is usually made of paper and some use nylon and high molecular material. The combustion style of the gasoline filter is different from diesel filter, the whole requirement is not as strict as diesel fitler, so the price is cheaper.
3. Natgas filter
Natgas filter is widely used in metallurgy, chemical engineering, petroleum, papermaking, medicine and other sectors. The gasoline filter, it is an essential device in pipeline of transporting the media, it is usually installed in the entrance point of the reducing valve, decompression valve or other equippments, which is used to remove the impurities of the media to protect the valve and normal use of the equippments and reduce the cost of the maintance
The function of the fuel filter
The function of fuel filter is to remove the ferric oxide, dust in the fuel and prevent the blockage of fuel system, also reduce the wearing of the machine, ensuring the steady operation of the engine and improve the reliabitity.
