The use of paper-core air filters in modern engines is becoming more and more common. Compared with oil-bath air filters, paper-core air filters have the following advantages:
1. The filtration efficiency of the paper core air filter is as high as 99.5%, and the oil bath air filter is 98%, and the dust transmission rate is only 0.1%—0.3%
2. The paper core air filter has a compact structure and can be installed in any position without being restricted by the layout of the parts

Air filter installation
1. When installing the air filter, the filter and the engine intake pipe must be tight and reliable to prevent air leakage. Rubber gaskets must be installed on both ends of the filter element. The wing nut that fixes the outer cover of the air filter should not be over-tightened to avoid crushing the paper filter element.
2. During the maintenance of the air filter, the paper filter element cannot be cleaned in oil, otherwise the paper filter element will fail and easily cause a runaway accident. Generally, when the air filter element is maintained for the fourth time, it should be replaced with a new element. If the filter element is broken, it should be replaced immediately.
3. When using the air filter, avoid the paper core air filter getting wet by rain. Once the paper core absorbs moisture, it will increase the air intake resistance and shorten the service life. In addition, the paper core air filter must not be exposed to oil or fire.
4. Some vehicle engines are equipped with cyclone air filters. The plastic cover at the end of the paper filter element is a diversion cover. The blades on the cover make the air rotate, and 80% of the dust is separated under the action of centrifugal force and collected in the dust pocket. The dust reaching the paper filter element is 20% of the inhaled dust, and the total filtration efficiency is about 99.7%. Therefore, when maintaining the cyclone air filter, be careful not to miss the nutrient diversion cover on the filter element.
