Oil filter is using for removing oil dust, metal particles, carbon deposits and other impurities in order to make the engine work effciency.
The function of oil filter
oil filter is working on cleaning oil, engine parts impurities that generated during operation
will cause parts wear and tear, oil can reduce each parts wear and tear at large. Oil filter
remove oil dust, metal particles, carbon deposits and other impurities to protect the
engine !
Oil Filter Specifications
1) oil filter paper: oil filter for filter paper requirements is higher than the air filter, mainly due to severe temperature changes, oil filter will affect traffic flow. Quality oil filter paper can filter impurities under the extreme temperature changes to ensure adequate flow.
2) filter seals: seal of quality filters that using a special synthetic rubber can guarantee no leakage.
3) inhibiting reflux valve: When you turn off the engine, it can prevent filter from drying out. Generate pressure when the engine re-ignition ,it can generate pressure to supply oil to lubricate the engine. Usually ,the general high quality oil filter all have inhibiting reflux valve.
4) bypass-valve: when the external temperature is lowered to a certain value or you use oil filter long-term and havn’t clean up, the bypass valve will be open under special pressure, so that unfiltered oil can flow into the engine directly to protect engine.
Oil filter installation
First, drain or dry the old oil, loosen the fixed screws, remove the old oil filter. Smear oil in the new oil filter seal, install a new oil filter and tighten the fixing screw.
Under normal circumstances, cars and commercial vehicles’ oil filter should be replaced once every six months.
